Finding the frequency of a wave?
- Q : All electromagnetic waves travel in a vacuum at a speed of 3.0e8 m/s. What is the frequency of such waves having a wavelength of 675 nm? I converted 675 nm to 6.75e-7 m and i took (3.0 x 108 m/s) / (6.75e-7 m) because wave speed = wavelength * Frequency. i got 5.6e14 But my answer is incorrect..what did i do wrong??
- A : you have done calculations wrong, I am getting the answer 4.44 x 10^14 Hz
the procedure is right though
